MAJOR WINTER STORM TODAY!

Storm Summary

Our storm is already moving into the Carolinas this morning! Below you can see a radar shot from 7:15 this morning.

A lot of the precipitation over NC right now is called virga. Virga is simply precipitation that is falling but not reaching the ground. Our air is pretty dry so as the rain/snow falls it evaporates. It could take a few hours before precipitation actually reaches the ground.

Everything is on track as expected so far this morning!

Timing: This storm is currently moving into the Carolinas throughout the day.
