STORMY PATTERN CONTINUES

Right now from a weather standpoint there is not much happening other than the standard summer afternoon showers and storms. This pattern looks to continue this weekend and into next week with highs generally in the 88-90F range most days.

There is a tropical wave moving up the coast tonight and tomorrow morning that may bring some rain and clouds to the immediate coastal areas as it passes. This system never could get going due to shear and dry air but what’s left of it is bringing some unsettled weather to coastal areas.

The next 7 days will feature a typical summer pattern. Highs in the upper 80s to near 90, a chance for afternoon storms and plenty of humidity as well.

Looking at the tropics, there are several waves out there we are watching but nothing much of interest for the time being. As we enter mid to late August things should start to pick up and by September it could be very busy as we enter the peak of hurricane season.

If any systems of interest pop up we will be the first to let you know!

Have a great weekend everyone!
